7. Conꢁnue to support the SSR1300 in place and have the second person slide the rear mounꢁng blades into the
channels of the side mounꢁng rails.
8. Secure the rear mounꢁng blades on each side of the chassis to the rack post using rack mounꢁng screws.
9. Check that the front mounꢁng brackets on each side of the rack are lined up with each other.
10. Aꢂach a grounding cable to earth ground and then aꢂach the other end to the SSR1300 grounding point.
11. Dress the grounding cable. Ensure that it doesn’t touch or block access to other device components, and that it
doesn’t drape where people could trip over it.
Power On
Now that you’ve installed your SSR1300 in the rack and grounded the chassis, you’re ready to connect it to power.
NOTE: If you want to connect your SSR1300 to the Mist Cloud, you must connect the Ethernet/transceiver
cable to your preferred management port (MGMT or other) before powering on the appliance. The Ethernet/
transceiver cable must provide connecꢁvity to the internet or to your Mist Cloud instance.
The SSR1300 supports redundant AC power supplies that are pre-installed at the factory. It comes with two AC power
supplies preinstalled on the rear of the device.
1. Wrap and fasten one end of the ESD grounding strap around your bare wrist, and connect the other end to one of
the ESD grounding points on the router.
2. Turn off the power switch on the SSR1300.
