04/Frequently Asked Questions
Q 1: Why are there two stalls NAND and NOR?
Gear makes it easier to recover from image damage.
NAND will keep the main loader (U-Boot) and the
Linux image and will be the default boot device.
NOR will be write-protected by default (WP
jumpers are available on the board) and will retain
the recovery bootloader (along with other
necessary data such as Wi-Fi calibration), and a
dedicated boot select switch will allow switching
between NOR and NAND.
Q2:What should I do if I fail to access
192.168.1.1?
If you are logging in via a mobile phone or other
wireless device:
- Make sure you have successfully connected to the
router's Wi-Fi.
- When logging in with a mobile phone, make sure
that your mobile data traffic is turned off.
If you are logging in via a computer:
- Enter 192.168.1.1 in the browser address bar (not
the search bar)
- Make sure the computer is connected to the
router's LAN port (such as 1, 2, 3) and the network
cable is connected normally without looseness.
- Make sure the computer is set to automatically
obtain an IP address and automatically obtain a
DNS server address. If you still cannot log in after
the above operations, please restore the router to
factory settings and try again.
