CAUTION: Before you connect power to the router, a licensed electrician must aꢁach
a cable lug to the grounding and power cables that you supply. A cable with an
incorrectly aꢁached lug can damage the router (for example, by causing a short circuit).
To meet safety and electromagneꢀc interference (EMI) requirements and to ensure
proper operaꢀon, you must connect the chassis to earth ground before you connect
the chassis to power. For installaꢀons that require a separate grounding conductor to
the chassis, use the protecꢀve earthing terminal on the router chassis to connect to
the earth ground.
• Ensure that you have the following parts and tools available:
• DC power source cables
• Phillips (+) screwdriver, number 2 (not provided)
• Mulꢀmeter (not provided)
The ACX710 router supports a dual feed DC power supply module. Table 3 on page 11 describes the
DC power specificaꢀons for ACX710 routers. For the 2-pole DC circuit breaker, the recommended
maximum value is 32 A and the minimum value is 8 A.
