The chassis is air-cooled and the airflow is front-to-back. The unit has a door at the front
with a grille and integral cooling fans. On the rear, there are two power inlets and an array
of video, control and data signal connectors. Some rear connections use small form-factor
pluggable (SFP) plug-in modules. There are two dual-redundant power supply units (PSUs)
in the chassis which are removable from the rear.
WARNING: Optical Outputs
With some SFP module types fitted, the MV-825-RTR may be equipped
with optical input/outputs which contain low-power laser beams.
• Do not look into an optical output. Laser radiation can cause
irreversible and permanent damage of eyesight.
• Do not look at the end of a fiber to see if light is coming out. Use
optical instrumentation.
• Unused optical outputs should be covered, to prevent direct
exposure to the laser beam.
For chassis physical dimensions, see Appendix B Unit Dimensions, on page 199.
